The foreigner must submit an application for a residence permit within the first 8 days of entering Italy. Applications relating to the different types of residence permits must be submitted at the Immigration Offices of the Police Headquarters or at Post Offices.
The foreigner must remember that for the first issuance of the residence permit, it is necessary to have entered Italian territory with an entry visa issued by the respective Embassy of the country of origin.
The Solorzano Law Firm is responsible for checking whether these requirements exist and, if necessary, completing them or in some cases having to give up the possibility of submitting the application, because our goal is to save our clients time and money.
The residence permit may have a duration of:
- Seasonal Work: 3, 6 or 9 months;
-Subordinate Work: the duration is determined based on the duration of the employment contract, 1 year for a fixed-term contract and 2 years for a permanent contract;
- Family Reunification: the duration is equal to that of the residence permit of the family member who requested the reunification;
-Self-Employment: duration of two years;
In case of having received an Order of refusal of the Residence Permit, the foreigner must act immediately to protect their rights. The Solorzano International Law Firm is specialized in these difficult cases, because the document that decrees the refusal of the residence permit can transform the life of the foreigner, making it in many cases a real hell.
Our Firm offers personalized assistance for each case:
- Completion of the application/kit;
- Request for access to the file in case of delayed response;
- Appeals to the TAR/Ordinary Court in case of refusal of the application.
